This TV documentary series features a benefit concert spotlighting icon talent surrounded by world class musicians performing live, interlaced with doco-style footage and information on the artists pet charity using raw imagery of the charity and its projects.

Each show will always end with a free flowing jam session of one of the featured artist’s pivotal rock songs from the past 40 years.

The pilot episode (Drunk White Lotus School: Donovan & Friends) has just been accepted into this year’s Cannes Film Festival with plans for a theatrical release for Fall 2009. This made for PBS special concert event, in a joint production between WE and New York based production company Vitamin M and will feature appearances by:

Jerry Vivino (member of Max Weinberg 7 on the Conan O'Brien NBC show- Sax, Flute),
Jack Petruzzelli (member of Fab Faux - guitar, banjo),

John Candy Carr (original performer on Donovan's Open Road LP Bongos),
Richard Barone (The Bongos - Music Director / Guitar, backing vocals),
Steve Holley (Wings Drums), Will Lee (David Letterman's Late Night Band Bass),
Paul Shaffer (band leader for the David Letterman's Late Night Band - Piano Moog),
Janice Pendarvis (performed and recorded with Sting, Roberta Flack, Peter Tosh, The Rolling Stones, The O'Jays, Jimmy Cliff - backing vocals),
Steve Ewing (lead singer of The Urge - backing vocals),
Garth Hudson (The Band organist and keyboardist)

The show will also include interviews from Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Moby, Jack Healey (executive director of the Human Rights Action Center), Felix Dodds (executive director of Stakeholder Forum), Carrie Lee (director of the Druk White Lotus School).
